More Caption Fun

Here are a couple Olympic-related images to caption, since this is about all we have been watching this week. Beat my captions suckas.

"Eve Muirhead spells out her minimal requirements for a Canadian boyfriend and I JUST MAKE IT!"

"I can see her 5-hole from here!"

SCREENCAP-TION Contest of the Week

Each Friday (starting next week it'll be Saturday whatever day we feel like), we will put up a screencap from an episode we've recapped over the week.  Can you beat my caption for Legend of the Seeker?

"I can't believe he's looking at my face."

CRIMINAL MINDS (Ep 5x5 - From "Cradle to Grave") Recap and Casting Couch Notes by Mrs. Amanda

My sister, Erica, is a Casting Associate on Criminal Minds (she also just finished up an unbelievably busy casting session for the spinoff with Forest Whitaker).  We would probably watch the show anyways, but we're obviously much more interested in it thanks to her and her behind-the-scenes anecdotes.  So, whenever we do a recap for CM, we'll post what we know that maybe you don't.

This week's episode is a rerun thanks to the Olympics, but we'll kick off with it anyways to get our CM juices flowing before next week's new ep (directed by Matthew Gray Gubler - we have lots of fun stories about that one).

Okay, let's jump to it:

Speaking of THE HURT LOCKER...

This isn't a gossip blog by any means (if you're looking for good ones, try either Ted or Lainey), but we just saw The Hurt Locker and this little gem popped up on MSN Entertainment (unabashedly copied verbatim):

KK Reviews OLYMPIC CURLING

I grew up in Canada and have been curling off and on for about 20 years. I really like the sport and watch as much as I can. The Olympics has featured some great coverage, both on CTV/TSN/Sportsnet in Canada and on NBC/CNBC/MSNBC. With that in mind, I thought I would review what most of my friends watch curling for - the chicks, man!

Mrs. Amanda's TOP TEN (The Laminated)

My darling husband explained the purpose of the list in his previous post and so, with no further ado, here are the top ten guys I fantasize about during sex find extremely attractive:

TV Crossover --> THE OFFICE and THE MIDDLE

If you watched The Office "Job Fair" rerun tonight, you may have noticed Charlie McDermott from The Middle (he plays Axl, the teenage son).  In "Job Fair," he walks up and to the Dunder Mifflin job fair booth and asks, "What is this company?"

That's What She Said - Brought to you by LEGEND OF THE SEEKER (Episode 2x12 "Hunger")

Zedd: A wizard demonstrates the full majesty of his powers and those dearest to him can't even manage an "Ooh" or an "Ahh?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cara: Why does it matter why I do it, if I do it?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bad Guy: She's weak.  Get her a small one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cara: I want meat.
Richard: Okay, I'll come with you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darken Rahl: It's harder than you thought it would be, isn't it?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cara: We're going to get some more wood.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS - You can't watch Legend of the Seeker without reading Gay for Kahlan.

KK Recaps LEGEND OF THE SEEKER: 2x12, THE HUNGER

My wife and I have been watching LOTS for about 8 months now, ever since that fateful Saturday afternoon when one of us was sick and we happened to catch an episode. We first assumed the show was about Zedd, and were a little annoyed at all the scenes with Richard and Kahlan.

We have it all figured out now and watch the show every Saturday. So, as a regular feature of this blog, we will endeavour to recap each and every episode from here on out. AK might even take a stab at the Season 1 episodes on DVD. We'll see though. If you don't want to know what happened, stop reading now.

KK Reviews THE HURT LOCKER

AK and I have been trying to catch as many Oscar-nominated films as possible, which isn't as easy given our location on the Northern Plains. Our cable provider, Midcontinent Communications, has been adding several of the films to their In Demand menu and thus we were able to catch The Hurt Locker this past Sunday. Here is what we thought (warning, spoilers):

Kyle's TOP 10 (The Laminettes)

The purpose of this post is to let you know exactly where I am coming from in terms of movie and television reviews. Since the heady days of Friends, I have always liked the idea of The List. You know, the one where Ross gets to decide on 5 guilt-free bangs, should he happen to meet any of the chicks. Of course he meets a former member of the list (Isabella Rossellini) shortly after taking her off the list, and she is unimpressed by his impassioned pleas. Basically, Geller gets Rossellini blue balls.

AVATAR Review by Mrs. Amanda

This is how I imagine the planning session for Avatar went down:

Welcome to "We Are Here To Tell You About Your Opinion."

We are always open to suggestions and comments that make this site even more ridiculously rad.  Please send them on.  We can't guarantee that we won't make fun of them, but we can assure you that we will take them all into consideration.

Also, thanks to Dean Landew for the idea and concept for this site...and also the creation of Sergeant Vanderbilt.
