Amanda and I seemingly find a lot of pennies in our travels. Likely its really no more than any other person, but to us it feels like a lot. We usually set them aside and throw them in collection baskets from time to time, but yesterday we got to thinking that perhaps we should save them to see how long it takes to get 1000.
Figuring that the 1000 pennies would be a cool $100, we could then donate it to a charity and have something to fill these pages. So, without further ado, we wish to announce that we have found a penny and now only need 999 to reach our goal.
Penny #1 was found on April 17th, 2010 right near our house. Pictures are below:
